Gangjin Celadon Museum (강진 청자박물관)

Gangjin-gun (강진군), in Jeollanam-do, is home to Goryeo Celadon (고려청자). It was produced in the area from the 9th to the 14th centuries. Gangjin Celadon Museum is the only Goryeo Celadon museum in Korea which contains a variety of pieces illustrating the shift Korean celadon had made during this period.

In Gangjin-gun there are a total of 188 celadon kiln sites, which account for more than 50% in the country. In addition to the celadon artifacts and kiln sites, there is a demonstration on how to make Goryeo Celadon porcelains, a hands-on-experience zone where visitors can make their own, and a small shop where you can purchase them.
