Cheongju (청주)

Cheongju is the capital city of Chungcheongbuk-do, the only land locked province in South Korea. The city is the biggest city in the province, flanked by Jincheon and Chungju in the North, Daejeon in the South and Cheonan (South Chungcheong) towards the west. Roughly 640,000 people live here, with a good mix of university students and foreigners. For more information on Cheongju, stop at the Information Centre next to the Intercity Bus Terminal or check out the Cheonju website.
There are 238 schools in Cheongju and an English Centre, therefore there is a large expat community.
